Kaylah comes to us from the fitness side of the house, having taught in gyms and health clubs in the NoVA area for the last couple of years.  She began her yoga practice 10 years ago as a stressed out young mother, seeking balance and some much needed peace during the sleepless-exciting-chaotic-joyful-challenging years of raising small children.   Yoga adapted for the fitness industry led her to explore interesting hybrid classes, combining the disciplines of yoga, tai chi and Pilates.  Three years ago she felt moved to begin teaching what she loved, eventually leaning towards an emphasis in yoga.  She trained (and continues her education) with Yogafit, a style of yoga that is "designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. Based on the ancient fitness science of hatha yoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format. YogaFit overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, which is accessible, understandable, and doable by individuals at any level of fitness."  Kaylah is driven each and every day by her passion to help others discover their potential for peace, health and wellness, both on and off the mat.  "Take care of mind, body and spirit . . . the rest will follow."

I've always had a great love affair with nature. I've traveled to a few different countries, but most of my travels have been here at home, in the beautiful United States. I've been blessed to see and explore 42 of the 50 states. I believe all parts of the world dance with beauty and grace.  The journey into yoga began slow but sure. Yoga has touched a deeper part of me; a long forgotten me. My passion and practice has grown.  Today I am free, stronger physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. My love for myself,  two children and husband are greater than ever. Although my journey was born years ago, I'm still continuing on this path. Currently I am YogaFit certified and continuing my yoga education I am also thankful to our Lord for blessing me in many ways. I know I am truly part of the few to be rich with love and compassion that surrounds me at home and in my career. This can be true for each of us. My goal is to pass along this deep peace to everyone I meet and to learn something from each individual that I pass on this journey. Namaste.
